taevachiThe new Civ VII has received much criticism, and I must also admit that I have not played it much and have preferred Civ VI. On Youtube however, I saw that there was a new update to the tech tree that makes the game a lot better, so I decided to try again. I have to say, I dig Hatshepsut's design. In the 3d model she didn't initially impress me, but the 2d painting version is really nice. Also, there is always this ridiculous debate online about the race of Ancient Egyptians. Netflix's "my grandma said Cleopatra was black" to "Cleopatra was Greek actually" (to Greeks and North Macedonians having a war in the comment section over the term "Macedonia") to "Rami Malek is too pale to play the Pharaoh in Night at the Museum" (and all that I've seen on Tumblr over the years.) And from all of that... Hatshepsut here looks very much "historically accurate" in my opinion! Completely unrelated to Cleopatra, of course, who was not ethnically Egyptian anyway.
