Again, I accidentally went on an unplanned hiatus. I have not visited this website at all for over a month.

The reason is that I have been very tired. Physically tired due to iron deficiency anemia, not helped by anxiety and depression. Last week, I had a week long sick leave due to this tiredness. I have dropped a lot of stuff for x amount of time because I am too tired. I have not read anything here because I am too tired.

Good news is, after this week, my life should become better. I will get rid of my a-hole coworker, and I also got a stable position here so I will have stable income in the future. I can start planning for the future for real this time. The local queer advocacy group also started organizing coffee nights, which is something I've definitely needed.

I have played a lot of video games recently, mainly Civ 6 (I got addicted AGAIN) and Valheim.

My date went well and we intend to see again.

Well, now I know why I'm so unbelievably tired all the time! I went through tests and indeed, I have no iron stored in my body to the point I have become anemic. As soon as I leave work, I'll go to the pharmacy.

If I get this situation better, I think I'd have more energy and therefore I could draw more Sethoscara. Speaking of Sethoscara, a Scara ship poll tournament was made by someone on Twitter and some people are really upset over the fact that Sethoscara easily beat Chiscara and Scaramona, aka the "og ships". They are seriously underestimating the appeal and popularity of Sethoscara! A lot of people like Sethoscara and it's time for everyone to open their eyes and see that!

I have been picking a lot of blueberries with my friend in the forest and I guess it was only a matter of time: I sank into a swamp. Only one leg and knee deep though, luckily. But it was truly a comedic scene when I turner the boot upside down and poured out a fair share of swamp water.

It was nice to bake with my self picked berries though!

I also drove about 2 hours to another city for an anime convention and although there were disappointing things, there were also very nice things. I'm kind of itching to go back there... I wanna shop and eat ramen and go to a gay bar ^^''' I didn't know they have one.

I'm back to work. Monday was horrible and I got anxiety but the rest of the days have been fine so far.

My poem is now on display in that queer art exhibit I talked about earlier. I think it turned out... nice. This Saturday, my town has the Pride parade.

Did you spot the birth of a new ship? The ship called Sethoscara was born on Monday. It's about Scaramouche and Sethos from Genshin. I got very excited about it immediately! I've been doing a bit of art so far, maybe I will write a fic if inspiration strikes? I've also never witnessed the birth of a ship and tag so closely! It was great to be there to read the first Sethoscara fic when no others even existed yet.

I've been playing new video games, mainly Valheim and Project Zomboid. Valheim has been fun and chill in the Minecraft way, I assume as I've never played Minecraft. Project Zomboid is a bit scary and stressful but it's so much more fun in multiplayer.

My Sethoscara fanart under cut.

I am participating in a Queer Art Exhibition as an "artist"... I would never ever call myself that but, well. So, I was thinking of writing poetry in the style of ancient poetry I've been obsessed with lately. Like take those tropes but with a lesbian twist. But since wondered if I should add related illustrations in the form of pixel art or embroidery.

Yesterday, I saw the movie The First Omen (2024). It is a horror movie and a prequel to the 70s horror film The Omen. However, I did not know this, nor have I seen the original. I went into the movie blind, expecting it to be a full story, but instead of having an ending, it had some MCU-tier name drops of characters I'm expected to know and "to be continued"-type of deal. Despite all this, and the fact that the premise of this horror-universe is ridiculous, this movie was truly disturbing. Not even scary really, but disturbing. With it, a brand new sentence was born: Detailed depiction of a c-section of a jackal demon bestiality incest rape baby. And the horror in it was something that was so truly horrifying from a woman's experience. I was not surprised to find out the director is a woman; I could tell! The movie is, like I said, very disturbing but succeeds at what it's trying to do. It is a well-made, good movie, and I never want to see it again.

I'm leaving the country soon so this whole week is just me doing enough laundry to be able to grab my favourite clothes with me, as well as trying to empty my fridge.
