Whew, okay!
21 May 2025 13:33I have moved into the new apartment I own, yay! Now I have properly room for cat trees, and a new bigger cat tree was the first thing I bought and carried into the empty apartment. I had the big moving day 2,5 weeks ago so I've had some time to get used to everything. I emptied the last boxes yesterday, I had a little bit of a crisis with the new wardrobe but let me tell you. I bought TWO cheap plastic boxes and it fixed EVERYTHING. It allowed me to organize everything better and save room = boom all good now.
My big gripe is the shower cubicle! God it is so ass. The floor keeps flooding and the doors keep falling off the rails. As soon as I can afford it, I'm getting rid of this and buying a new one.
Speaking of affording, I'm still missing some essential furniture, namely balcony seats and little table, a shelf for the living room, and shelves for the laundry. I'm supposed to go to another town/city the 1st of June and they have IKEA so I know where I'll be visiting. My wallet is not gonna like it though.
And the reason I'm going to that city is because I'm helping out a certain lesbian. We're gonna be in the same town for the summer. I wonder if we'll be dating some day?
Oh, I am also happy I got to set up my weirdo shelf xD It has two pieces of art on it, of Kave and Päivätär, as well as a forest reindeer horn and a magic wand made of forest reindeer horn ^^''' I have a weird liking of forest reindeer.
So uhhh Eurovision happened. I felt sooooo meh about the whole thing because last year's competition was mega ass. And I kept getting Youtube ads of the Israeli artist saying in Finnish, vote for me. It's so annoying and I'm not even sure if that's allowed, nobody else makes such ads for their songs. I was, however, enamoured with Erika Vikman's stage performance in ICH KOMME, holy moly I got the feeling like yeah I am a lesbian alright... Spain's ESA DIVA was also great and gave me same feelings! My favourite for the victor would've been Estonia. It felt so wholesome, he just sang about coffee. I want more coffee songs for humanity. (Also Joostice.) While I would never wish a victory for a ballad in ESC, I'm not so mad at Austria's win because the artist has real talent and an amazing singing voice. I'm also happy for young queer performants successes this and last year.
They have made some fixes (like not making me look at Martin Österdahl's face), which is an improvement sure, but the competition is not fully saved by any means.
That's all worth mentioning I can think of right now.
