In The Old Days, we had two big publishers of manga, Egmont and Sangatsu. Eventually, Egmont stopped publishing manga, and Sangatsu joined forces with a smaller publisher called Punainen jättiläinen. After years, the other small publishers disappeared, and eventually, only Ivrea remained. Until a few years ago, when Ivrea stopped publishing as well. And then we only had the Sangatsu&PJ duo.
UNTIL NOW! Ivrea is back. And they are taking all of Shueisha's ongoing series from Sangatsu and retranslating and republishing them from the beginning. This means One Piece, One Punch Man, and My Hero Akademia.
THESE STUPID FUCKS ARE GOING TO BE PUBLISHING OVER 100 VOLUMES OF ONE PIECE AGAIN. In Finnish. No offense to the Finns, but the number of speakers is not big enough to warrant two One Piece translations... Ridiculous.
Their reason for this is because apparently the old translations are ~childlike~ or something, and that's the reason they didn't sell well. Both of these claims are total bullshit, by the way.
Like literally nobody wants this.
Best of all? Ivrea is not even Finnish. It's a company of dumb Spanish fucks who don't understand Finnish or anything about the hobby scene in Finland. They literally just pull this shit out of their asses. Needless to be said, I will pirate everything Shueisha related in the future instead of buying from liars. I would be happy for Sangatsu to have competition but I will not tolerate lying.
